Launch of Centenary book in the GPO

Ms Bourke and Ms Devaney were delighted to attend the official launch of the 1916 Centenary book in the GPO on Wednesday 18th October.

This beautiful book charts the measured and inclusive manner in which the the centenary of the Easter Rising 1916 was commemorated throughout Ireland. The book was formally launched by the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Heather Humphreys.
St Mary’s gets a mention in the book on page 94 in the chapter which deals with the celebration of  Proclamation Day, 15th March 2016.

St Mary’s was presented with a copy of the book signed by the editor Ronan McGreevy.
