Christingle Service

Class 1 Indigo held a Christingle Service to mark the beginning of the Christmas season. Christingles1
Christingle celebrations are named after the Christingles that are lit during the service. Christingles are made from an orange decorated with a red ribbon, sweets and a candle.
Each piece of the Christingle holds special symbolism to help us understand the importance of Jesus and the Gospel.
1) The orange represents the world 🍊🌎
2) The red ribbon symbolises the love and blood of Christ ❤️
3) The sweets and dried fruits represent all of God’s creation 🍏🍬
4) The lit candle represents Jesus light in the world, bringing hope to people in darkness.
The students thoroughly engaged with the service and had great fun making the Christingles. Christingles2
