Sarah Bateson represented the school in the Irish Life Schools Cross Country Championships in WIT Arena Waterford. After a week of heavy snow and rain on Saturday the course was a mud bath and conditions could only be described as horrendous.

The course got the better of many including champions, however, Sarah battled on in the name of St. Mary’s and battled her way up the field to proudly finish in 36th position.
