Minister Paschal Donohoe Joins Us To Celebrate Volunteerism and Daffodil Day

Friday 22nd March is a double celebration for us here at St Mary’s as we celebrate the volunteering spirit of our students and Daffodil Day.Daffodil Day

The school community will be delighted to welcome Minister Paschal Donohoe on Friday 22nd March to the school to our Awards Ceremony which celebrates volunteerism in our community. He will present a certificate to Ciara McKenna who is one of twenty all-Ireland finalists in the prestigious Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards, and to five other students who have distinguished themselves in this field.  After the presentation of certificates of merit Minister Donohoe will speak about the importance of volunteering in our community.Pramerica Day

Following this event, the Transition Year students have organised a coffee morning for Daffodil Day in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. Gaisce students have undertaken to achieve a high level of skill in baking and they will showcase these new skills for us on Friday. We invite members of the community to drop in and join us in the Choir Hall for a cup of tea, coffee and cakes!Pramerica Day2
