Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards Ceremony at the Aviva

Congratulations to Ciara McKenna (5th Year) who is one of the 20 young people country wide to be recognised for the exemplary volunteer work they’ve carried out in their communities. The 20 top volunteer finalists were honoured at a gala awards ceremony on Thursday at the Aviva in Dublin. The keynote address was delivered by Richie Sadlier who also presented the finalists with their prizes and their Pramerica silver medallions.IMG_0170Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards (SOC) is the only all-Ireland youth initiative of its kind.

The SOC programme, which is run in partnership with the National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals (NAPD) and the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (GTCNI), honours post-primary students for outstanding acts of volunteerism and the positive contribution they make in their local communities.

Ciara was nominated for her work in assisting with the educational and therapeutic needs of children with various disabilities in ChildVision in Drumcondra.
