Le Chéile Schools Trust Conference 2017

The Conference was held this year on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd January in the Hodson Bay Hotel Athlone. The theme of this year’s conference was encapsulated in Senator Joan Freeman’s inspirational talk on Friday morning entitled ‘A Journey of Hope’. Senator Joan Freeman is the founder of Pieta House.

Ms Bourke and Ms Audrey Doyle , the chairperson of our Board of Management attended the conference, and the student body of St Mary’s was represented by 5th years Lauryn McCausland and Casey Harris. The conference ended on Friday afternoon with a performance by the students from all of the Le Chéile schools delivered through the media of art, music drama and poetry. Lauryn and Casey were part of the music group which closed the conference with an original song espousing the Le Chéile values of Faith, Respect and Justice.
